The Hatchery Continued...

After the big fish are calmed down, they are used to fertilize the salmon eggs.

After the eggs are fertilized, they are put into incubator trays to wait to become salmon!

The fertilized eggs stay in the trays for a while...

Then when the eggs turn into little fish, they are moved outside into big tanks until they are four inches long. Once they reach four inches. Jerry pulls the plug, and the baby salmon shoot right down into the river and make their way back to the ocean.

The Hatchery is open for tours all the time. If you or your group would like to pay Jerry a visit, just contact us and we'll make arrangements.

See you at Hollow Tree!
